Downey : 15 Pounds of Cocaine Seized
A Downey man is to be arraigned today in Downey Municipal Court on one charge of possession of cocaine for sale after police seized 15.5 pounds of cocaine and nearly $90,000 in cash at his residence, authorities said.
Herman Ramirez, 28, was arrested Friday at his Pangborn Avenue apartment, Downey Lt. John Finch said. He is free on $100,000 bail, Finch said.
A second man who was arrested with Ramirez was not charged because of insufficient evidence, a district attorney’s spokesman said.
Police acted on two anonymous tips, Finch said. The men were arrested without incident, authorities said.
