El Dorado Regains Top Spot in Poll
El Dorado High School regained the top ranking in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep baseball poll, after being second for the past two weeks.
El Dorado, coming off a 10-9 victory over Esperanza, replaced Mater Dei as the top-ranked team. El Dorado was ranked first during the second week of the season before Mater Dei took the top spot.
Mater Dei fell from first to third in the poll despite sweeping a doubleheader from visiting Archbishop Mitty last week.
