Scott Schaefer, the County Museum of Art’s former curator of European painting and sculpture, has joined the world of commerce at Sotheby’s. As vice president and senior consulting expert for fine arts and museum development at the New York auction house, Schaefer will develop clients, maintain relationships with the museum community and provide assistance on Sotheby’s catalogues.
