November Home Sales in Conejo Valley Take Drop
Single-family home sales in the Conejo Valley totaled 171 in November, 1987, 23.3% below the 223 houses sold in November, 1986, according to the Conejo Valley Board of Realtors.
Ann Hilton, the board’s president, said the traditional year-end sales slump was “intensified by a relatively limited number of homes on the market, especially lower-priced properties.” New listings in November, 1987, amounted to 225, 11.1% below the pace for November, 1986, she added.
The average sale price for houses sold in November, 1987, was $237,814, up 19.6% from the average selling price in November, 1986, the board reported. Communities served by the board include Westlake Village, Agoura, Lake Sherwood, Hidden Valley, Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park.
