Frank Zappa and Steve Allen are scheduled to co-host a benefit concert to raise funds to help those who were involved financially with Jim and Tammy Bakker’s PTL as “Lifetime Partners.” The benefit, sponsored by the Fundamentalists Anonymous Legal Task Force, will be Jan. 29 at the 4-D Club in New York City. Richard Yao, founder of Fundamentalists Anonymous, is asking the Bakkers “to atone for their sins” by contributing at least $10,000 and says, “If the Bakkers want forgiveness, they have to start showing some signs of repentance.” Jim and Tammy impersonators are scheduled to welcome guests at the door and pose for photos with them.
