Wrong-Way Freeway Drivers
About 10 years ago, there was a terrible accident on the freeway caused by a wrong-way driver, resulting in many deaths.
At that time, I wrote to the governor suggesting that all freeway exits be equipped with the metal teeth which are so common in parking lots. Try to enter the wrong way and your tires are destroyed.
In response to my letter, I received a reply from the California Department of Highways filled with gobbledygook “explaining” why it couldn’t be done.
Install those tire-destroying metal teeth, and we will never again read about the kind of tragedies which took place Dec. 11 and 14.
