The semiconductor market showed some gains.
Average monthly billings for the three-month period ended in October were valued at $716.9 million, to yield a book-to-bill ratio of 0.98 for October, six points above September’s 0.92 index, according to industry statistics released by the Semiconductor Industry Assn., a San Jose trade organization. For the three-month period, average monthly U.S. market orders totaled $700.4 million, up 3.5% from September’s $676.6 million.
