Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville has forfeited eight of its 23 basketball victories last season because forward-center Anthony Webster took only eight of the required 12 hours during the winter quarter.
The Cougars posted a 23-7 record and advanced to the final 16 teams in the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. Division II tournament before losing to Wright State, 77-73.
