It may not be October, but this weekend there are not one but two World Series to watch.

Which you prefer is likely to depend on your age. Youngsters surely will be drawn to the Little League World Series airing from Williamsport, Pa., on ABC’s “Wide World of Sports” today at 3 p.m. (10) and 4 p.m. (7)(3)(42).

Over on the fairways of the Firestone Country Club in Ohio, the World Series of Golf will determine a champion from a field of friendly foes who hold the 1986 Masters Tournament, U.S. and British Open titles, the PGA and PGA Club Pro Championships and the current U.S. and British Amateur titles. The action in Akron begins today and Sunday at 1 p.m. (2)(8).

And speaking of champions, those defending Super Bowl bruisers, the Chicago Bears, will take on the St. Louis Cardinals in a preseason football game tonight at 6 (2)(8).
