SYNDICATED SERIES FOR SANFORD
Isabel Sanford, formerly of “The Jeffersons,” has been signed to star in a proposed syndicated comedy series that will air five days a week with original episodes as of fall 1987--a first, according to the De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, which will produce and distribute the series.
“Honeymoon Hotel” will be produced in association with Fred Silverman, the former NBC president, and writer-producer Gordon Farr. Instead of a pilot episode, a full week of shows will be produced later this year in association with several major TV station groups, according to DEG spokesmen. One hundred episodes would be completed prior to the series’ debut on a lineup of independent stations and network affiliates yet to be announced.
