Corona Police Sgt. Tim Slane and his dog Ebbo brought home a second-place trophy in a statewide competition for police dog teams for the second straight year. The weekend’s sixth annual Redlands Police Canine Trials included tests of obedience, agility, search and protection skills. Out of 350 possible points, Slane and Ebbo earned 343.75, just half a point behind the winning score of 344.25, made by a team from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department. In two weeks, Slane and Ebbo will represent Corona in the Police Olympics in Newport Beach, where last year they took a bronze medal.
