J. Michael Cook has been named chairman and chief executive of Deloitte Haskins & Sells, one of the Big Eight accounting firms. He succeeds Charles G. Steele, who is retiring.
Additionally, the company has created an office of the chairman that will include, in addition to Cook, three vice chairmen: Raymond Spinola, Patrick J. Waide Jr. and Jerry W. Kolb.
