The State - News from May 7, 1986
The first person to get two chances in the California Lottery’s “Big Spin” may never get a chance to spend his second winnings. Santa Barbara County Dist. Atty. Thomas W. Sneddon filed a lien with the state controller to confiscate $4,600 he said J. Danny Wedgeworth of Santa Maria owes in back child support--and also asked the court to hold any other money outstanding in a trust fund, to see that Wedgeworth’s $288-per-month support payments continue. Wedgeworth, 23, bought a new car, paid debts and threw a restaurant party with the $50,000 he won on his first “Big Spin” last November, Sneddon said, but his ex-wife and child were left out of the celebration. He won $10,000 on his second spin, last Saturday.
