The SEC may lift some trading restrictions.
Concerned that current after-hours restrictions on trading in domestic securities are driving traders to foreign stock exchanges, the Securities and Exchange Commission’s staff may take action, an agency spokeswoman said. Mary McCue, chief of the SEC’s media relations, said the staff is considering a letter that will tell the New York Stock Exchange that it is all right to lift restrictions on after-hours domestic trading in stocks listed on the Big Board.
