Rancho P. V. : Firehouse to Be Replaced
A fire station to replace the 32-year-old Station 83 in Rancho Palos Verdes has been approved by the county Board of Supervisors. The county’s Consolidated Fire Protection District will construct a temporary station nearby while the existing station is torn down and replaced on the same site at 4000 Miraleste Plaza. Fire officials said they decided to rebuild the station there because the existing station, although structurally deficient, is in the most strategic location for protecting the community. The county is advertising for bids.
