Local News in Brief : Heart Attack Caused Crash Victim’s Death
A Sepulveda man who died March 31 at the scene of a traffic accident in Northridge was killed by a heart attack, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
The autopsy on Robert Kiley, 60, established that he also suffered head injuries in the accident, said Bill Gold, a coroner’s spokesman. Police said Kiley’s van apparently ran a red light and was struck by another car in the intersection of Parthenia Street and Louise Avenue.
The coroner’s office could not determine whether Kiley suffered the heart attack before or after the accident, Gold said.
