Marino H. Casem, athletic director and football coach at Alcorn State, has been named athletic director at Southern University. He replaces Dick Hill, who announced his resignation.
Hill was formerly the track coach at San Diego State.
Observers said dissension between Hill and football Coach Otis Washington prompted the athletic director’s decision to leave.
