Associated Press
LIMA, Peru — A mud and rock slide buried a bus with 35 aboard on an Andean mountain road near Cuzco, the official news agency Andina reported today. All 35 were feared dead, the agency said.
Police said the slide occurred at Quebrada Honda, about 700 miles southeast of Lima and 55 miles from Cuzco, a popular tourist destination and the imperial city of the Incas. A spokesman for the Morales-Moralitos bus company said the passengers included two Bolivians and one West German.
