Architectural Walking Tour of Arroyo Seco Area Slated

“The World of Greene & Greene,” an architectural walking tour of the Arroyo Seco area of Pasadena, will be held Saturday under the sponsorship of Pasadena Heritage.

Guided tours begin every 20 minutes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Neighborhood Church at Orange Grove Boulevard and Arroyo Terrace, just south of the Gamble House, and last about two hours.

They will feature interior visits to three houses designed by Charles and Henry Greene, as well as background on the Arts and Crafts movement, neighborhood history and the two architects. Included on the tour is a visit to Oakholm, the home of Charles Greene.

The cost is $7 a person; $5 for members of Pasadena Heritage. Reservations are necessary and may be arranged through the sponsors at 80 W. Dayton St., Pasadena 91105.
