Two men protesting President Reagan’s policies toward Washington’s homeless jumped the White House fence, and four colleagues blocked traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue today. All were arrested without incident.

The men who jumped the fence said they were trying to deliver a letter to Reagan that said: “We beg of you, you must not sacrifice the poor. All guns and no butter just isn’t American.” They were identified by the Secret Service as Robert Dorough, 26, and Wayne Vorhies, 25.
