Van de Kamp Seeks Reelection
Democrat John Van de Kamp formally announced his campaign for a second term as attorney general today, saying that in the past three years he has “pushed law enforcement into the 21st Century” in California.
To dramatize the emphasis he has put on prosecuting drug dealers, Van de Kamp made his first of four formal announcements of his reelection campaign today at the site of an illegal PCP laboratory in Los Angeles that was abandoned after it was wrecked by an explosion during the 1984 Olympics.
