Clippers Sign Cross to Replace Injured Cage
The Clippers signed 6-10 Jeff Cross to a 10-day contract Thursday as a replacement for Michael Cage, who suffered a compound dislocation of the middle finger on his right hand Wednesday night against Phoenix and will be out of action for about two weeks.
Cross has been playing with the Maine Windjammers of the Continental Basketball Assn., averaging 10.9 points and 8.6 rebounds a game.
