Arson Suspected in 6 Burbank Fires
Six suspected arson fires in the underground garage of some Burbank condominiums caused more than $10,000 in damage late Friday night and forced the evacuation of the buildings, officials said Saturday.
Four of the fires apparently started in storage compartments in the parking area of the two-story complex in the 4400 block of Sarah Street, fire dispatcher Laurie Lewis said.
Two more fires were burning at the rear of the buildings when firefighters arrived at 10:48 p.m., she said, and 10 companies from the Burbank and Glendale fire departments were called to the scene. None of the condominiums was damaged.
The cause of the fires remained under investigation Saturday, Lewis said.
