Canada and India to Discuss Treaty, Trade
From Reuters
NEW DELHI — Canadian External Affairs Minister Joe Clark will visit New Delhi next month to discuss an extradition treaty and expanded bilateral trade with India.
The Canadian High Commission said Clark will initiate formal discussions on an extradition treaty and ratify a recently negotiated double taxation treaty during the four-day visit from Dec. 16.
The extradition treaty is expected to enable India to seek the deportation of Sikh extremist suspects who have sought refuge in Canada.
