PEKING — A Chinese court has sentenced three men to death in the southern city of Guangzhou after finding them guilty of auto theft, the official People’s Daily reported Sunday.
The three men joined a “band of robbers” in stealing seven cars and 22 motorcycles valued at more than $150,000 over a two-year period that ended last March, the newspaper said.
A Guangzhou court Thursday sentenced the three to death and stripped them of their “political rights” for life, it said.
