The New Jersey Nets named Laker assistant coach Dave Wohl as their head coach, ending a two-month search for a successor to Stan Albeck, who left after last season to take the head coaching job with the Chicago Bulls.
Wohl, a 35-year-old former Nets player who has spent the past three seasons with the Lakers, signed a contract believed to be worth $550,000 over three years.
