Choir Leader Arrested on Child Abuse Charges

NEW YORK — A man about to take 11 choirboys on a concert tour of Europe was arrested at Kennedy Airport on child abuse charges after an 11-year-old boy complained that he had been sexually fondled.
John Schallenberger, of Connellsville, Pa., described as a child talent consultant, was taken into custody Tuesday evening and held on a Pennsylvania complaint charging corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent exposure.
