Motorcyclist, 31, Dies in Pacoima Accident
A 31-year-old Sun Valley man died early Tuesday morning when his motorcycle went out of control and hit a chain-link fence, a fence post, a telephone pole, a fire hydrant and a steel post before coming to a stop, police said.
Patrick Donald Tassone was southbound on San Fernando Road in Pacoima at 5:40 a.m. when his motorcycle flipped over the curb and skidded 110 feet along the street, police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced Tassone dead from head injuries at the scene.
Traffic investigators said they are not sure what caused the victim’s motorcycle to run into the curb. Investigators are seeking one witness who left the scene before police arrived.
