Boys’ basketball: Taft wins City Section play-in game

If the City Section Division I champion is selected for the new Open Division for the state playoffs, Woodland Hills Taft will be added to the Division I playoffs.
Taft won a play-in game, 67-60, over Narbonne on Thursday night at Roybal. Kris Yanku scored 25 points and Usama Zaid had 21 points.
Sylmar defeated Bell, 67-54, in a Division II play-in game. Devenir Duruisseau scored 23 points and Cody Rodino 21.
In a Division I girls’ play-in game, Palisades defeated Carson, 51-46.
