Boys’ basketball: Santa Margarita leads 3AA final

Santa Margarita outscored Damien 12-8 in the second quarter and leads 23-21 at halftime of the Southern Section Division 3AA championship game at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Joe Furstinger and Devonte Klines have six points apiece for fifth-seeded Santa Margarita. Michael Fernandez has six points to lead second-seeded Damien, which led 13-11 after the first quarter.
