Southern California players have made the USA 15U national baseball team that will play in a four-team, four-game tournament in the Dominican Republic next week.
Among the players are Blake Rutherford, an outfielder who will be a freshman at West Hills Chaminade this fall, and Isaak Gutierrez, an infielder-pitcher who’s headed to Bellflower St. John Bosco.
Also named to the team are pitcher Kyle Robeniol from Alta Loma, pitcher Austin Moore from Huntington Beach, pitcher Bailey Falter from Chino Hills, catcher Chris Betts from Long Beach and pitcher Solomon Bates from Victorville.
Chatsworth’s Tom Meusborn is the team’s head coach, with Harvard-Westlake’s Matt LaCour serving as an assistant.
