A newly designed CIF website that went up on Tuesday was hacked Wednesday night.
A message when doing a search for CIFstate.org said, ‘Hacked by C37HUN.’
It is back up working Thursday.
Roger Blake, the CIF associate executive director, said in a text message on Thursday that the CIF is trying to investigate what ‘new steps’ to take to prevent future attacks on the site.
CIF spokeswoman Rebecca Brutlag said the website was hacked at 11:23 p.m. through a compromised password and re-directed to another site. It was restored at 7:50 a.m. Thursday. She said no data was lost or accessed. She said the CIF intends to report the hacking to authorities.
