There’s no rest for high school basketball teams now that coaches can coach year-round, so there’s a Labor Day tournament set for Saturday and Sunday at Pierce College.

Former Taft Coach Derrick Taylor gets to return to Woodland Hills as coach of Bellflower St. John Bosco. The Braves are scheduled to play Crespi on Saturday at 7 p.m. and face Alemany on Sunday at 6 p.m.
