Sophomore catcher Jeremy Martinez from Santa Ana Mater Dei has committed to USC, Coach Burt Call said Tuesday.
Martinez was considered among the best freshmen in Southern California last season.
Another top Mater Dei player, junior pitcher-outfielder Ty Moore, is still taking college trips. He’s looking at UCLA, Cal State Fullerton, Oregon and California, among others.
Two top players from Huntington Beach Edison, pitcher Henry Owens and infielder Christian Lopes, have college trips scheduled for Oregon and Miami.
