Anaheim Esperanza did something Wednesday no team has been able to accomplish this season _ beat Huntington Beach Edison left-hander Henry Owens.

The Aztecs (15-6, 8-2) scored three runs in the sixth inning, getting a two-run home run from Travis Almazan and a solo home run from Jonathan Maciel, to beat Edison, 3-1, in a Sunset League game. Owens (8-1) struck out 11.

Austin Pettibone gave up a leadoff home run to Eric Snyder, then shut down the Chargers (14-7, 8-2), who are now tied for first place with Esperanza.

‘Nobody is invincible in the game of baseball,’ Esperanza Coach Mike Curran said.
