Baseball: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame holds off Alemany

Eric Walbridge and Casey Ryan each had three hits to help Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (8-2, 2-1) defeat Mission Hills Alemany, 8-6, in a Mission League game Tuesday.
Alemany received two-run home runs from Edgar Montes and Mark Strazzeri.
Encino Crespi handed St. Francis its first defeat in Mission League play with a 5-4 victory. Spencer Wendt’s single in the bottom of the seventh won it for the Celts (9-3, 4-1). Wendt finished with three hits. St. Francis dropped to 10-2 and 4-1.
