Tim Floyd is now tied for the most NCAA tournament victories among USC coaches.
OK, don’t go chiseling the statue just yet. He has three, but it shows two things: One, Floyd can coach and build a program. He has the Trojans in the tournament for the third consecutive season, a first in the program’s history. And two, digging through USC’s tournament history hardly brings Magna Carta-like revelations.
Before Floyd, the Trojans had 12 tournament appearances. UCLA has won 11 national titles.
