The Marine Corps is investigating a video that purports to show a Hawaii-based Marine throwing a puppy over a cliff in Iraq.

Meanwhile, seven puppies from Iraq are set to arrive at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field on their way to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas. After much red tape, the seven were shipped home by Marines based at Qaim on the Syrian border.

The pups, 6 months old, will remain at the facility until the Marines return to Camp Pendleton and can claim them. The pups’ parents are a couple of Iraqi dogs that roamed the Marines’ base.
