Currently Coveting: Toms mid-top Botas

Toms, the philanthropic shoe company famous for its canvas slip-ons, has been wowing us with its stylish incarnations of its signature shoe.
We’re especially loving the Botas, a canvas mid-top with laces and the label’s patented puckered toe.
The $79 shoe comes in a handful of un-boring neutrals for spring: olive green, a tone-on-tone gray tie-dye and a striped black-and-cream print inspired by a fabric the company sourced in Kenya.
A cross between a classic Ked and a chukka boot, the Botas can be worn with laces or without, and sports a brown leather ‘Toms’ logo on its tongue.
And though mid- and high-top shoes seem to make more sense in cool weather, the lightweight canvas style is perfect for spring and summer.
We’ll be wearing ours over micro-socks with cutoffs and tunics -- and even with sportier sundresses to nail that tomboy-ish Alexa Chung vibe.
