Back-to-school meets Endless Summer at Irvine Spectrum Center
The Irvine Spectrum Center, viewed from the Ferris wheel, hosts its Endless Summer Festival on Saturday.
To ease the pain of going back to school, Irvine Spectrum Center is hosting its Endless Summer Festival, showcasing fall fashion trends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
YouTube vloggers Maddi Bragg and Suede Brooks are scheduled to present style closets filled with back-to-school looks during the event, and local rock band the Brevet is slated to perform from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Other activities include complimentary rides on the giant Ferris wheel; a braid bar and lulu dk flash tattoos station; make-it-yourself dreamcatcher and potted succulent decoration stations; a photo booth for selfies and Nordstrom Beauty Lounge seminars throughout the day. Irvine Spectrum Center is at 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine.

Michael Stars celebrates the grand opening of its new store at the Point in El Segundo from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Customers can shop the fall 2016 collection at 20% off, have hair touch ups from Hush Hush Salon and enjoy sweet treats from Hannah’s Bananas. In addition, 20% of proceeds from sales during the event will benefit Sandpipers, a South Bay women’s philanthropic organization. The store is at 860 S. Sepulveda Blvd.
