Friedman to host tele-town hall looking at education issues tied to coronavirus pandemic
On Saturday, state Assemblywoman Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) will host a tele-town hall, where she will speak with superintendents and teachers about the issues they are facing due to school closures, stay-at-home orders and other challenges associated with the COVID-19 crisis.
The tele-town hall will be held from 2 to 3 p.m.
Panelists will discuss how they’re implementing remote learning and providing meals and mental-health services to their students and their families.

Besides Friedman, speakers will be Wendy Sinnette, superintendent of the La Cañada Unified School District; Vivian Ekchian, superintendent of the Glendale Unified School District; Matt Hill, superintendent of the Burbank Unified School District; Alicia Harris, a teacher at Crescenta Valley High School in Glendale; and Chandra Collins, a special education teacher at George Washington Elementary in Burbank.
