San Clemente outlet shops to open
A gentle breeze. The sound of the waves.
Beach-lovers and shopaholics may very well be able to find their perfect match — and soon.
The Outlets at San Clemente is set to host its grand opening Thursday to Nov. 15.
The Craig Realty Group, a shopping center development and management firm based in Newport Beach, broke ground in April 2014, though the 325,000-square-foot, ocean-facing outlet has been years in development.
More than 35 stores will be open starting Thursday. Final plans also call for more than 12 restaurants and other dining options. Four of these locations are expected to have ocean views.
Grand opening festivities will kick-off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The outlet’s inaugural tree-lighting concert will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday. A tree from the hills of Mt. Shasta will be lit with 3,000 lights and adorned with other holiday décor.
The Outlets of San Clemente is located at 101 W. Avenida Vista Hermosa in San Clemente.
