Battle by the Bay tournament

DJ Van Oostendorp went 5-0 as a 195-pounder, helping Newport Harbor go 3-2 during the one-day tournament at Corona del Mar High on Saturday.

Newport Harbor beat Norwalk Excelsior, 48-36, as well as University, 42-36, and Valencia, 37-36.

Newport Harbor’s Ryan Sanson (120 pounds), Diego Naranjo (138), Ernesto Martinez (145), Ethan Zimmerman (160) and Chris Aviles (182) each went 4-1.
