ANAHEIM — Hayden Moore had 22 points and Cade Ortiz added 19 to help the Oilers win their first game during the Godinez Grizzlies Invitational at Loara High on Tuesday.

Noah Gonzalez had 18 points for Huntington Beach (1-1), which learns Wednesday who it will face in the tournament on Thursday.

Nico Dasca led the Mustangs with 27 points, while Osman Hefner had 19.

Costa Mesa (0-1) resumes tournament play against El Toro on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

LA PALMA — Sianna Siemonsma scored twice for the Sailor in their nonleague season opener Tuesday at Kennedy High.

Sofia Velazquez added a goal in the debut of first-year Coach Justin Schroeder. Skylynn Rodriguez, Jennifer Grafias and Sienna Ward all had assists.
