UC Irvine def. Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON — Haley DeSales led the Anteaters with 11 kills to go with five digs and a block assist in UCI’s 25-23, 25-22, 25-9 Big West Conference win Wednesday.

Opposite Harlee Kekuaoha recorded nine kills, three aces and eight digs. Setter Shelley Anderson recorded 32 set assists, four kills and six digs and Luna Tsujimoto had a match-high 17 digs for the Anteaters (6-11, 1-2 in conference).

The Titans are 6-10, 1-1.

UCI returns home to host UC Davis Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Bren Center.

Orange Coast def. Santiago Canyon

Breanna Gardner had 13 kills to lead the Pirates to a 25-9, 25-19, 25-13 Orange Empire Conference win Wednesday at OCC.

Aubrey St. Laurent added nine kills, while Hannah Del Barto chipped in eight kills. Sierra Lim had 17 digs, while setter Enjelica Glattli dished out 27 assists to go along with nine digs for OCC (7-6, 2-1 in conference).

Santiago Canyon is 2-6, 0-3.

The Pirates will return to action on Friday at home against Cypress College, at 6 p.m.
