Girls’ Volleyball: Newport’s Hagadorn and Wilson on Sunset League first team

Newport Harbor High setter Ellie Hagadorn and senior outside hitter Remy Wilson made the All-Sunset League first team in girls’ volleyball.

The duo led the Sailors (12-19, 4-6 in league) to a fourth-place finish in league. Newport Harbor missed the CIF Southern Section playoffs for the first time since 1981.

Wilson is bound to play for the UCLA women’s sand volleyball program.

Newport Harbor senior outside hitter Jaclyn Brown and senior opposite Amanda Walker were on the second team.

Huntington Beach setter Rachel Hall and opposite Maddie Kaprelyan shared the Sunset League MVP award.
