Girls’ Volleyball: Sage Hill’s Dailey and Blevins are first-team All-Academy League picks
Sage Hill School junior outside hitter Jamie Dailey and sophomore setter Jade Blevins earned first-team All-Academy League honors for leading the Lightning to a runner-up finish in league.
Dailey finished with 188 kills and 41 service aces, while Blevins amassed 603 assists, 65 kills and 34 aces. Sage Hill (16-11, 10-2 in league) advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA playoffs, losing in five sets at Quartz Hill.
Senior middle blocker Isabel Shapiro and senior outside hitter Giordana Ricci made the second team for the Lightning.
Sage Hill senior libero Lina Aluzri was an honorable mention.
St. Margaret’s outside hitter Gabrielle Benck was the Academy League MVP.
