On defense, Curet finished with 76 tackles, 6.5 sacks and four interceptions.

Curet averaged 46.6 yards per punt and 92% of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Brown completed 101 of 187 passes for 1,591 yards and 13 touchdowns, while throwing 10 interceptions.

The other three first-team selections were Estancia seniors DJ Davis and Konrad O’Daly, and Costa Mesa senior Josh Snipes.

Brown, Davis and O’Daly helped the Eagles (3-7, 2-3 in league) to a fourth-place finish in league, one spot ahead of the Mustangs (5-5, 1-4). Both programs missed qualifying for the CIF Southern Section Southern Division playoffs.

The Eagles defeated Costa Mesa, 23-0, in the 49th edition of the Battle for the Bell rivalry game.

Davis, an outside linebacker, totaled 111 tackles (62 solo) and two fumble recoveries.

O’Daly, a tight end, finished with 26 catches for 511 yards and seven touchdowns.

As a safety, O’Daly recorded 85 tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.

Snipes, a cornerback, intercepted seven passes and made 51 tackles.

As a receiver, Snipes had 22 receptions for 225 yards and three touchdowns.

Calvary Chapel running back Braeden Stack and Godinez quarterback Bryan Ibarra shared the Orange Coast League MVP award.
