LOS ANGELES — Seventh-seeded UC Irvine split two games Friday in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament at USC.

The Anteaters opened with a 14-9 win over No. 10 seed San Jose State as Kyle Trush, Lovre Milos and Matt Skinner scored four goals each.

In a quarterfinal game later Friday, UCI fell to No. 2 seed Pacific, 10-7.

Skinner led UCI (15-11) with three goals while Alex Obert and Ben Stevenson led the Tigers (23-3) with three scores each.

The ‘Eaters face UC Santa Barbara Saturday at 1 p.m. in a consolation semifinal game.
