Samantha Doucette, who scored a game-high 23 points knocked down the game-winning three pointer with four seconds left to lead the No. 3-ranked Lions to the nonconference win Thursday.

Melissa Norman added 15 points and seven rebounds for Vanguard (2-0).

Montana Tech is 4-3.

Cedar City, Utah — Raelyn Cheung-Sutton had 15 points, a career-record 12 assists and career-tying six rebounds to lead the Anteaters to their first win of the season on Thursday.

Irene Chavez recorded 14 points and Mokun Fajemisin added nine points, a team-high 10 rebounds and two blocks for UCI (1-1).

Forward Shereen Sutherland totaled eight points and six boards and guard Paulina Santana had six points in the win.

Michelle Wu, Sami Little and Jenna Rodiguez scored 14 points each for the Pirates in the nonconference game on Thursday.

Megan Lewis added eight points, Sarah Nunes grabbed nine rebounds and Chyann Pendergrass dished out nine assists for OCC (2-2).

Rio Hondo is 1-4.
